SB Boron Corporation has developed innovative technology to create a process that achieves a new level of consistency and reliability in amorphous boron. These refinements assure users that their most critical requirements will be met. SB Boron 90 is currently widely used in research, industrial, aerospace applications, automotive, welding-flux and linings and coatings.
Among the innovations in the SB process is the use of argon in all reactive stages to prevent the absorption of gaseous contaminants. State of the art drying equipment to provide minimum moisture content.
Packaging SB Boron 90 is packaged in sealed, moisture-resistant 4-mil polyethylene bags meeting the appropriate military standard. Each bag is inserted in a fiber drum with fastening bolts, lined for additional resistance to humidity. Shipping weight per drum, 58 lbs., net weight 50 lbs.
Shipping Data The Dept. of Transportation requires no special labeling for this product. Shipments are usually made via UPS or common carrier. There are no shipping restrictions.
Military Specifications SB Boron 90 meets or exceeds the standards MIL-B-51092 (ORD), OS11608, PA-PD-451. Packaging and testing are also in accordance with appropriate military standards.
SB Boron Corporation manufactures three amorphous boron purity grades for various applications. All three grades boron are manufactured at our Bellwood, Illinois facility. All grades are normally in stock for immediate shipment. |
